Frequently Asked Questions...

Q: How long does it take to put up a marquee?

A: This depends on the size of the marquee and what you would like in it.  A 6x6m generally takes between 90 mins & 2 hours, a 6x12m between 3 to 4 hours, a 6x18m between 4 to 6 hours.  Walkways take about 45 mins to assemble.  9m marquees can take the best part of a day if over 21m long.

Q: What size marquee is best suited for my event?

A: It is very important to choose the right size marquee to suit your event, too many people crammed into a small space is both uncomfortable and unsafe.  Too large a space will make your event seem underpopulated.

Q: How long is the marquee hire period?

A: The hire period is by arrangement and can be tailored to your needs, however most bookings are based over a 5 day hire period

Q: Are your marquees safe?

A: Absolutely! All of our marquees are framed clearspan.  Our marquees and linings all meet or exceed the British standard.

Q: Can the sides of your marquees be opened in warmer weather?

A: Yes, the walls of our marquees work in a similar way to curtains at home & are very easy to open and close. We can demonstrate this on the day of erection.

Q: Do we need heaters or are your marquees warm enough?

A: Even in the height of summer the evenings can be a little chilly particularly after 9pm so it is a good idea to budget for one.  Heating means that marquees are suitable for all year round use.

Q: What day will you erect/dismantle the marquee?

A: Marquees are usually erected Wednesday to Friday & dismantled Monday To Wednesday.  Please let us know if there are any special requirements.

Q: Can the marquee be attached to a building?

A: No we do not attach any of our marquees to buildings.

Q Will the marquee damage the grass?

A: There will be no permanent damage. The grass that is covered may fade in colour slightly but should quickly recover.
